Maintenance Officer

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Department of Justice QLD Full time $90,000 - $110,000 per year

The position has operational responsibility to coordinate and deliver reactive and proactive maintenance activities and projects. The position reports to an A05 Infrastructure Officer and will work closely with the Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW) and QBuild to deliver maintenance work across the department.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate reactive maintenance for the Department across its statewide built infrastructure portfolio and leased premises, ensuring delivery of these services to agreed standards.
  • Ensure assigned projects are managed in accordance with the Department's strategy, policies, systems and procedures, and according to the Queensland Government Building Policy Framework — Growth and Renewal, Queensland Government Building Policy Guideline and other relevant whole-of-government policy frameworks.
  • Optimise alliances and partnerships with key internal/ external stakeholders and service providers (eg. DHPW/QBuild) to meet the Department's facilities services requirements.
  • Identify emerging issues, risks, and priorities that may impact delivery and proactively respond with strategies to address these impacts and escalate to management where appropriate.
  • Provide advice to the Principal Infrastructure Program Coordinator and Branch management regarding emerging issues.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the branch and department.
