**The Position**

**St John of God Subiaco Hospital **is a world-class private hospital offering the highest quality medical and surgical care in a warm and welcoming environment. Many of Perth’s leading specialist physicians and surgeons practice at our 578 bed hospital, allowing our patients access to a comprehensive range of services. Our hospital is located in the heart of Subiaco close to stylish cafes, boutiques and with easy access to the train station.

- **Orthopaedic Research Officer** to join our Research team. As a Research Officer you will support the research and safety and quality activities of the Orthopaedic unit at Perth Hip and Knee in relation to the surgery and patient care provided by the surgeons to patients at SJG Subiaco Hospital, St John of God Murdoch and St John of God Midland Hospital
- Knowledge of Socrates Database system and/or working knowledge of modern statistical packages is highly regarded._
- This position is on a Fixed Term Part Time basis working 60.8 hours a fortnight over 12 month.
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Undergraduate degree relevant to clinical care and research;
- Previous experience in clinical research;
- Good working knowledge of clinical research methodologies and regulatory requirements;
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Demonstrated ability to work meticulously within highly regulated clinical service and research environments;
- Working knowledge of good clinical practice and clinical regulatory ethical and legal frameworks;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database packages.
