**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Process and Systems Manager, you will be playing a key role in supporting the development, monitoring and maintenance of a centralised EHS Management System across the APAC region. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to support and enhance our EHS Management System, drive a consistent approach to systems standardization and best practices across the region.
**What you’ll do**
- Support the design, development & deployment of the EHS Management System in line with the identified priorities within the strategic plan for the fiscal period.
- Facilitate a robust mechanism for communication of changes to requirements linked to new standards through document summary presentations and linked training packages.
- Assist sites to evaluate their position against the requirements of new standards by the development of self-assessment tools by standard.
- Overall responsibility for management and oversight of the master document control register, including allocation of new document control numbers and adherence to naming conventions.
- Ensure the EHS Management System is available to all workers, including publication of documents, and information is disseminated effectively; with ease of navigation via the APAC EHS SharePoint site.
- Support the implementation and management of systems, policies and practices to ensure obligations are met and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Partner with site and regional technical trainers & People & Performance to integrate systems learning within operational discourse and programs.
- Lead and conduct regular reviews of EHS Management System documentation and manage the life cycle of EHS Management System documents to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
- Performance monitoring & reporting of systems standardisation progress to plan via balanced scorecard.
- Support ongoing improvements and standardization of EHS policies and procedures to drive the Zero Harm culture journey
**What you’ll bring**
- Qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or related field
- Experience in the development, implementation and review of the EHS Management System, programs, and processes
- Understanding of EHS Management Systems, technology and tools
- Sound knowledge of EHS legislation across Australia & New Zealand
- Exposure to and understanding of a broad range of relevant technical methodologies and practices
- Experience with platforms such as SharePoint, SAP or similar technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to make sound, independent judgements within established policies and procedures but seek expert advice as required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
