Your new company is one of the world’s leading food manufacturers who produce a variety of different products across its manufacturing sites worldwide. As a market leader, your new company has been in the industry for many years and has a reputation as one of the best in the market. There is a requirement for an EHS on a permanent basis to join their team with the common focus of improving safety. There is also the opportunity for a safety contractor to start immediately.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for Health & Safety performance of the site, as well as supporting implementation of other Operational Risk initiatives including Environment, Facility Security and Business Continuity.

You will be responsible for:

- Setting site direction of EHS performance through target setting and performance monitoring
- Continuous improvement to ensure site EHS compliance with legislation and global best practice
- Ensuring suitable policies, management systems and controls are applied across EHS
- Driving EHS audits and action plans
- Mitigating business continuity risks through emergency preparedness plans
- Qualitative and quantitative EHS reporting
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work
- Leading and participating in Environment and Social Governance, such as energy conservation and waste reduction initiatives

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Relevant Qualifications relating to WHS or equivalent
- Background in manufacturing, logistics or a similar environment
- Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (i.e. Workplace Health and Safety QLD, Department of Environment & Science)
- Experience with Safety Management Systems and EHS auditing
- Experience with Rehabilitation and Return to Work
