National EHS Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced National Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the delivery of safety, risk, and compliance outcomes across a diverse national property portfolio.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will play a key role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining Work Health and Safety (WHS) frameworks and systems that align with legislative obligations, best practice, and organisational values.
This role combines strategic direction with hands on support to regional and site teams, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to safety performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice across all Australian states and territories.
- Develop and maintain national risk management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Lead internal safety audits, risk reviews, and incident management processes.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to operational leaders, contractors, and site teams.
- Promote a culture of safety excellence, accountability, and innovation.
- Monitor compliance performance and provide reporting and insights to senior management.
- Drive national safety initiatives and improvement programs aligned with strategic business goals.
About You
You are a confident and adaptable EHS professional with technical expertise and a passion for driving meaningful safety outcomes. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can lead both strategically and operationally, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
You will bring:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Work Health and Safety across property, construction, facilities, or corporate environments.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or trade background with industry recognised WHS certification.
- Strong understanding of national WHS legislation and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage compliance and performance across multiple sites and regions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with risk management and safety reporting systems.
