Team Leader, Worker Screening Unit

Key responsibilities of this role
- Ensure the team maintains accurate records and complies with departmental record keeping, privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Research legislative and administrative issues, provide advice to the team and refer potential compliance matters to the compliance team and/or senior management. Contribute to the development of educational information and resources and identify if gaps in resources exist.
- Build and maintain working relationships with team members, clients, stakeholders and private sector entities by communicating professionally and being responsive to their needs or expectations.
- Identify possible enhancements to existing systems and processes and raise ideas with management so that technological solutions can be implemented to improve performance and streamline processes.
- Provide support to staff involved in finance functions such as reconciliation of online, bank cheque and money order payments and supervise staff with mail and payment processing in line with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and provide feedback and mentoring sessions to members of the Client Service Team as required.
- Look for opportunities to participate in and contribute to internal innovation activities and working groups, to ensure continuous improvement and the delivery of effective and efficient operations.
- Prepare high quality briefs, correspondence, and reports for management.
- Undertake other tasks and activities as requested by the Manager, Worker Screening Unit (Client Services) and/or Director, Worker Screening that help deliver the department's objectives.
