The role will also supervise Senior Support Workers and Support Workers to ensure the provision of high-quality support to people with disability. **_ Your main duties and responsibilities will include:_** - Supervise professional teams of support workers and senior support workers in line with Mamre’s vision and values and operational objectives. - Ensure these supports are appropriately and sustainably resourced with skilled, engaged, and productive employees who perform their roles in line with Mamre’s vision, values and Code of Conduct. - Actively look at opportunities to strengthen the connection between support workers and Mamre. - Mentor support workers on shift (i.e. where appropriate) to further build on the support workers skills and knowledge. - Undertake formal supervision with direct reports by following Mamre’s procedures. - Liaise and work collaboratively with relevant external organisations or services in relation to complex matters associated with service delivery i.e. where there is a Positive Behaviour Support Plan. - Work collaboratively with the Roster Support Team, Recruitment Team and Business Development Officer to promote and produce successful outcomes for our supported people. - Assist in building a positive relationship between each supported person (their family/network) and Mamre by continually informing people of who we are, what we do and how we can help. - Meet with supported people at frequencies determined by them (or us where required), documenting the meeting outcomes. **_ KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED _** **Essential** - Written and oral communication skills which demonstrated ability to communicate. information to a variety of audiences. - Ability to work independently and as a team member and maintain strong team commitment. - Strong relationship building skills. - Demonstrated effective planning and organising skills in a high-volume work environment with the ability to deliver multiple outcomes within tight timeframes and with attention to detail. - Demonstrated people management skills. - An understanding of positive behaviour support and an ability to develop this understanding in others. **Desirable**: - Study in behavioural support highly desirable **_ QUALIFICATIONS/LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS_** **Essential**: - A relevant Community Services qualification - Current Australian drivers licence and own vehicle - Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card - NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate - COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate Queensland has introduced a "NO CARD, NO START" policy.
