Team Global Express (TGE) are in search of a high calibre Vendor Manager, where you will be responsible to monitor the relationship and performance of service delivery partners for Integrated Business Services (Integrated) to ensure that the partners deliver the required services to a high quality and in accordance with the service contracts.
Working closely and collaboratively with the Integrated functional teams, the primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that responsibilities and accountabilities agreed to with the partners are delivered to expectation in a consistent and effective manner; through the utilisation of appropriate tools, skills, and knowledge to meet or exceed all business targets.
This position is also accountable for ensuring that all vendor contracts have complete and accurate scope of services and goods to be provided and that these schedules are aligned with the strategic intent of the function. Other accountabilities include liaison with procurement to manage onboarding of vendors, managing vendor performance and vendor disputes.
Primary Skills & Responsibilities
- Solving vendor issues (i.e., commercial negotiations, renewal of contracts, or monitoring SLA's)
- Manage and measure performance of the overall relationship between internal customers and strategic vendors ensuring compliance to contractual obligations.
- Leveraging vendor management and negotiation expertise to actively participate in the creation and build of strategic vision and plan.
- Identify opportunities that significantly reduce operational and capital expenditure.
- Providing support, education, and training to the appropriate stakeholders to build risk awareness across the functions.
- Be an escalation point for vendors and establish service improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining a singular view across the Integrated Business Services spend with regards to vendors and providing appropriate visibility to key stakeholders
- Providing input to budget and reviewing expenditure against budget.
- Maintaining and monitor due diligence tasks for all vendors.

- Tertiary qualification in commerce related discipline or business studies coupled with post graduate qualifications (MBA preferred)
- Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a related industry, to ensure a minimum base knowledge of the required competencies.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial management, performance management, process, and quality management.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management and sound commercial knowledge
- Sound computer literacy and comprehensive knowledge and skills in relevant software packages
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively influence and negotiate.
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task. Ability to drive the vision and key priorities.
- Ability to analyse issues and solve non-routine problems.
- Experience in managing and implementing change.
