We're looking for a Procurement professional who specialises in IT to join our team

**Job Description**:

Your new role and how you’ll make a difference:_**

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving the management of our commercial contracts, making strategic sourcing decisions, managing relationships with our vendors and all around adding value to our IT and indirect procurement categories.

**_ The value-add things you’ll be doing:_**
- Conduct spend and market analysis to develop, maintain and implement category strategies covering key IT & Indirect spend areas in line with business needs
- Provide advice and guidance on issues relating to all aspects of category management and sourcing activities, including providing input to and planning of strategy, negotiation approaches, tendering, contract management and supplier relationship management to support procurement value for money outcomes
- Support the Head of procurement with Rfx processes in line with illion’s procurement and sourcing framework.
- Provide expert commercial advice in the development of procurement strategies, including contracting and documentation management.
- Manage the procurement and contract management system (Folio) to ensure compliance with procurement policies, pro-active contract renewals, supplier invoice reviews and reporting on KPIs.
- Act as the key escalation point for supplier related issues to quickly identify the right stakeholders during a problem.
- Lead and manage projects using robust, proactive, and contemporary project management methodology
- Establish and grow positive working relationships with IT & Indirects providers and business unit stakeholders to ensure desired business and procurement outcomes are achieved.

**Qualifications**:

The experience and qualifications you’ll need to be successful:_**
- Ability to work independently as the procurement and vendor management SME within the organisation
- Excellent attention to detail. This includes contract management and delivery skills, as well post contract follow-up to ensure deliverables have been met.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, including the ability to negotiate at all levels within an organisation.
- Working knowledge of project management principles.
- Contemporary experience in areas of tendering policy (RFx), procedures, and evaluation; contract administration, management, and negotiation.
