The opportunity

Are you a budding marketer looking for the first step in your career?

We are currently seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team based in our Newcastle office. As the Marketing Assistant you will be exposed to working on projects across our Sydney, Newcastle, Port Stephens, and Upper Hunter offices, giving you the big city exposure with the lifestyle of the Hunter.

Key responsibilities
- Be available as a resource for senior marketing professionals who need assistance with completing large projects.
- Assisting in the development and distribution of marketing and promotional material.
- Data entry and analysis.
- Assist in the organisation of events as required.
- Helping conduct and collate findings from market research.
- Drafting targeted content for website and blogs.
- Assisting in the drafting and distribution of subscriber newsletters and information.
- Contributing to internal reports and reporting on success by monitoring key metrics.
- Creating content for social media channels in coordination with the marketing team.
- Responding to marketing queries from social media by liaising with the marketing team.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and compelling marketing campaigns.
- Liaising and strengthening relationships with employees, referrers, and clients alike.
- Additional adhoc tasks as required relating to marketing and communications.

What you need to apply
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Previous experience and understanding of Microsoft office.
- Previous experience working in marketing or communications.
- Experience with HubSpot is preferred by not mandatory.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently.
- Ability to constantly improve and optimise.
- Ability to take a task, give it a go, and then ask for feedback.
