Mining Maintenance Manager

**Role overview: This role is based overseas.** You will need to be willing to travel and work on site for a few weeks at a time. (8 weeks by 3 weeks)

You will be responsible for the Safe and Efficient repair and maintenance of all mobile equipment. Your duties will include Month end reporting, inventory of spare parts, working within annual departmental budget and timely requisitioning of spare parts.

You will need to be able to coordinate and motivate teams in the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Section incorporating all functions undertaken in maintaining all equipment maintained under the mine maintenance section. The primary focus of the Maintenance Manager will be to provide leadership at a senior level on all safety and reactive maintenance requirements. Maintenance activities will not be restricted to reactive maintenance and the Maintenance Manager will as required participate in the completion of preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

To promote and uphold Company Policies and Procedures, to encourage the appropriate work attitudes and teamwork within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Teams and ensure that the goals and objectives of the Department are understood and achieved.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Responsible for managing all execution and analysis of maintenance activities within the **Mine Mobile Equipment Maintenance Section** so that they operate within Country Mining Acts and Rules, established corporate and Company policies and in accordance with the authority delegated by the Manager - Mobile Equipment Maintenance.
- Supervision, evaluation and training of the Maintenance Team members in areas of safety and technical skills.
- Providing proactive support by ensuring that resources are available to be part of a reliability improvement team for the development of cost effective and efficient maintenance strategies.
- Actively monitoring contractor activities to comply with Company policies and procedures and to ensure contracted work is completed to required standards.
- Ensuring all safety procedures, conditions, training and inspections are completed in compliance with Company policy
- Ensuring that the COINS modules are utilised by team members and that all relevant data is fed back into the system for further analysis.
- Attending meetings and actively participate by offering suggestions and will pass on to all team members without discrimination any requirement or information.
- Reviewing maintenance records to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensuring the effective control of company costs by monitoring work practices, controlling associated expenditure, and by recommending and implementing appropriate cost measures within area of responsibility.
- Institutes and monitors programs designed to minimise the impact of the Mine Mobile Maintenance section on the environment.
- Strict Adherence to ISO procedures, policies, and governance. Including but not limited to the following:

- Cooperate and assist in internal audits as required
- Employee relations
- Health and Safety, targeting a Zero accident/incident workplace
- Proper handling of all waste products, Oils, Lubes, Fuels
- Document control and confidentiality
- Change management
- Housekeeping

**Requirements to be successful in this role**:

- Mechanical or Electrical Tradesperson, person with appropriate trade qualification in the above areas
- Maintenance or Reliability Diploma, Workplace Trainer and Workplace Assessor will be well received
- Must have previous experience of at least 10 years in a similar position in mining, working on mobile mining equipment
- Experience with Computer Based Maintenance Systems.

**Salary**: $200,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year

- Maintenance management: 4 years (required)
- Mechanical engineering: 5 years (preferred)
- Electrical: 5 years (preferred)
