The Company
Swick Mining Services is Australia’s largest Underground Diamond Drilling contractor with the most innovative and reliable rigs in the industry.
An opportunity has arisen for a highly driven and capable Maintenance Supervisor to join the team at South Guildford, reporting to the Maintenance Manager (Global).

The Role
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for the effective management and training of mechanical trades personnel, while ensuring all field-based equipment is maintained to a high standard, minimizing downtime and maximising productivity.

**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:

- Supervision of both field service and South Guildford workshop based mechanical trades
- Remote technical support to field service trades through troubleshooting and diagnostic assistance
- Ensuring field service mechanical trade competencies are met, in line with national codes
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager (Global)
- Leave management and rostering of site-based employees
- Maintain site budgets ensuring cost effective solutions
- Assisting with the onboarding of new maintenance employees
- Involvement in reviewing and continual improvement of Perth and site-based practices; and
- While this is a Perth-based role, semi regular site travel will be required.

Experience and Skills
- 6-8 years’ experience in a similar role
- Established experience in underground drill maintenance
- Advanced hydraulic diagnosis and component knowledge
- Relevant industry knowledge and experience in the mining industry i.e., drilling practices
- Experience leading a team and with contractor management
- Proven capacity in a technical support role, including troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant Mechanical trade qualification
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain
- Current C Class Driver License
