**Role Description**
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and versatile **Business Manager** to provide high-level support mainly to the Managing Director ensuring the business runs smoothly, liaise with our HR services supplier and other suppliers, provide contract management support and other projects as they arise.
This position suits someone looking for permanent part-time work with some flexibility and enjoys variety in their responsibilities.
The role will be approx. **20-25** hours per week across 3-4 days with some WFH opportunity. The actual work hours and workdays will be negotiated with the right person as will renumeration which will be dependent on the skills and experience that are being brought to the role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Supplier Management
- Source and negotiate services with external suppliers and vendors
- Monitor supplier contracts and service levels
- Manage relationships and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of services
- Negotiate annual rental agreements in conjunction with the Managing Director
Operations & General support
- Monitor and manage key client contract documentation, including client contract renewals
- Liaise with IT support to ensure efficient operations
- Support leadership team as required on special projects - this might include annual Strategy Days, Festive season activities etc
HR Management - liaise with our HR services supplier as required to:
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities
- Maintain and update staff records and HR documentation including policies and procedures
- Assist with performance management processes and staff reviews
- Assist with the recruitment process
- Ensure all contracts and employment letters are up to date
- Coordinate training, professional development, and wellbeing initiatives
- Liaise with our Finance Manager to ensure all paperwork is in place
**What we are looking for**:
- Prior experience as a Business Manager / Operations Manager, Office Manager, or similar support role with exposure to a professional services office environment.
- Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organisational skills with an ability to work independently and proactively as well as work within a small team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to show discretion in handling confidential matters
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Sheets with some general tech savvy
- Some exposure to human resources management would be advantageous
- A sense of humour, proactive mindset and a strong work ethic
- Someone who can start ASAP once a decision is made
