**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Communications Partner to be part of our Industry, Strategy and Partnerships Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The Communications Partner reports to the Communications Team Lead, providing high-level communications services across the business. The Communications Partner is an experienced all-rounder and is responsible for developing and delivering detailed communications plans and activities that deliver best-practice and innovative communication and digital services, promoting the varied initiatives, projects and programs of the agency.

Working, under mínimal direction, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Communications Partner is responsible for ensuring that the most appropriate communications activities achieve optimal outcomes and align to the strategic priorities of the government and the department. This role is focused on the planning, development, implementation and coordination of effective communication plans and activities, requiring effective engagement with diverse stakeholders. Possessing exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a creative flair to ensure engaging communications reach intended audiences, they are expected to provide sound advice on communication planning and contribute to the development of new communication techniques and methodologies.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Opportunity up to May 2026.
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

**Qualifications**
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in marketing, public relations or communications or a related role.

**Remuneration**

ASO5 - $85,790 min - $95,413 max per annum, plus superannuation
