**The Role**
This role is within Intelligence Capability Division (ICD). Duties will include engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the Defence Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) to identify gaps across all elements of capability (inclusive of workforce, intelligence systems and technologies, training and professionalisation, policy, standards, and organisational structures).

Employees will develop well researched, compelling and concise written staff briefs that clearly identify the gaps, risks, and resource requirements, advocating a suitable way forward to resolve these gaps.

Staff will be expected to remain abreast of emerging technologies and changes in the strategic environment to ensure all gaps are identified with a clear future focus.

**About our Team**
The Directorate is responsible for interpreting strategic guidance and direction to identify Defence Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) intelligence capability gaps and requirements, and develop ways to resolve them.

This includes working closely with all elements of the DIE (Army intelligence, Navy intelligence, Air Force intelligence, DIO, AGO and IPP) to ensure they have fit-for-purpose intelligence capabilities that meet Defence's needs.
The Directorate:

- Advocates for DIE intelligence capability, workforce requirements and learning
- Articulates pathways to meet identified intelligence future requirements
- Arbitrates future DIE workforce requirements and training outcomes in order to affect outcomes to deliver fit-for purpose DIE solutions to meet the intelligence capability needs in a congested, contested and complex environment.
- You have previous experience working in intelligence roles (government or industry), with some wider Defence or Government experience.
- You possess good strategic foresight and have excellent formal written communication skills; project experience would be advantageous.
- You are flexible, and enjoy new challenges and developing solutions.
- You are comfortable in dealing with new concepts and ideas, can engage widely with others, and rapidly synthesise information.
