**RETAIL SUPPORT CENTRE**

The Retail Support Centre is based in St Kilda, with access to public transport and a short walk away from Acland Street. **KNOW THE ROLE**

The Design Assistant works under the direction of the Senior Designer to provide full support to the design team. A key element of this role requires accuracy and attention to detail working within the critical timelines at all times. The Design Assistant will also have the opportunity to contribute to design inspirations under the guidance of the Senior Designer.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Design team in various roles such as admin, creation and delivery of artworks, illustrations, specs, data entry and general follow ups
- Assisting designers in building new collections
- Liaising with offshore suppliers
- Managing approval submissions
- Actioning changes to styling or design and update relevant touch points
- Maintaining critical path tracker
- Ad hoc duties as required by designers
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design or similar
- 2+ years industry experience in ladieswear design
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate to advance Photoshop, Illustrator and computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound technical construction knowledge within apparel
- Knowledge of local and overseas fashion retail markets
- Ability to work under pressure, working to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
