An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Assistant to join a dynamic team at Commonry. This role will be responsible for maintenance of organisational systems and providing administrative and design support to the Creative Director.

**IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED TO**:

- Assist the Creative Director with product development, including research and sketching all adopted styles in Illustrator
- Attend supplier product development meetings and liaise with suppliers throughout product development process
- Assist Creative Director with preparation for monthly product meetings
- Assist in collating and annotating supplier handover documentation, working closely with Garment Technician
- Attend fit sessions
- Analysis of product as requested
- Maintain Style File documents from working range sheets
- Photograph samples as requested
- Assist Buyers and Production Manager in checking faulty stock on a monthly basis

**THE PERFECT FIT**:

- A tertiary or equivalent qualification in Design/Product Development
- 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar position
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Competent knowledge and working understanding of fabric and garment construction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels
- Experience liaising with off-shore vendors
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
