An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Assistant for Women's Apparel to join a dynamic team at Seed Heritage.

This role will assist throughout the ranging & product development process by supporting the Women's Apparel team in all duties required to meet set deadlines and objectives.

**THE ROLE**:

- Assist in sketching for style files as required.
- Set up line sheets according to the option plan.
- Handover line sheets to the Planning team for pre-quantification
- Update style files and Dynamics system with any changes after Buy meetings.
- Keep Production, Design, and Planning teams updated with any style changes or cancellations.
- Manage general sample maintenance, including dispatching stock to clearance stores and coordinate samples for internal sales.
- Photograph and organise all samples purchased overseas.
- Work closely with Production Coordinators to ensure campaign and PR samples are received on time.
- Ensure preparation for VM handover meetings is completed.
- Support with daily administrative tasks and meet regularly with Designers to understand workload priorities and deadlines.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:

- Prior experience in fashion retail, design, or merchandising is a plus but not required
- Passion for fashion and a genuine interest in staying updated with industry trends and developments.
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
- Experience with design software such as Adobe Illustrator or similar programs.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within a team environment.
