**About the role**:
To meet the KPI’s as set by the Operations Manager. An appropriate measure will be developed and will be assessed on a regular basis. To ensure external and internal customer satisfaction is maintained on the operations side of the freight forwarding business.

Looking for an experienced **Air Export Operator for our Tullamarine site**.

**What you will be doing**:

- Controlling all activities in the Air Export Dept.
- Solving all problems, including claims, related to export shipments
- Quoting to network & key customers, assisting Front Office department as requested.
- Following up inland activities and timely maintenance of key shipment Event/Milestone status
- Liaising and negotiating with carriers (airlines, wholesalers, transport operations)
- Identifying carriers and routing which meet client expectations and increase job profitability, working proactively with Front Office on identified sales strategy
- Alerting the Operations and Sales Managers of out dated client rate cards
- Maintaining a current rates tariff for key airlines and service routes
- Ensuring AOG shipments are prioritized and meet service obligations and criteria
- Ensuring compliance for the department related to RACA, RMP, MPI and other relevant authorities (including international compliance where required).
- Keeping Operations Manager informed of any problems
- Operation related customer service, handling customers’ requests / bookings
- Liaising with clients and ensuring total customer satisfaction, internal and external
- Timely response to agent/customer’s queries
- Registering of shipment in the Transport Management System - Pegasus / Cargowise
- Generating and issuing appropriate shipment documents in required timeframe
- Organising cargo pick-ups / drop offs.
- Transmitting documents as necessary
- Liaising with Overseas offices and assisting in their queries
- Invoicing / closing of files within expected timeframe
- Approving overseas invoices, query and resolve any unexpected charges
- Authorise invoices and credits from suppliers
- Process profit share to overseas offices where required
- Meeting department KPI’s as set by the Group, Operations and Branch Manager
- Assisting training of new team members as designated by the Operations Manager

**Requirements**:

- Freight Forwarding experience a must.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Air Export Operations
- Experience with high volume Air consolidation shipments
- Experience with dry, perishable, DG and time sensitive cargo
- Understanding of industry terminology including Incoterms
- IATA DG Certification & RACA Accreditation required
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Sound computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work as a team

**Double COVID-19 Vaccination is a mandatory requirement.
