Position Overview
We're looking for an experienced Export Airfreight Operator to join this team on-site at Melbourne Airport, VIC. This is a full-time, senior role for someone with solid export operations experience. You'll manage the end-to-end export process, from bookings and documentation to compliance and customer communication. Working with airlines, clients, and internal teams, you'll ensure all shipments are handled accurately, on time, and meet aviation security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage export airfreight bookings and meet shipment deadlines

Coordinate airline space, confirm bookings, and send pre-alerts

Prepare export documents (MAWB, HAWB, SLI, export declarations)

Track shipments and keep clients and stakeholders updated

Work with providers and teams to resolve any delays

Ensure compliance with ABF, DAFF, and Aviation Security regulations

Assist Import Operations and handle bonded cargo when needed

Maintain accurate costing, invoicing, and records in CW1

Liaise with airlines, handlers, and partners to manage cargo flow

Support process improvements and system updates

Qualifications And Experience
Experience in airfreight, freight forwarding, or logistics

Proficient in Cargowise

Strong communication and customer service skills

Good understanding of export compliance and supply chain

High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
