Transition Manager

Co-ordinate and execute complex activity across internal, external stakeholders ranging from brokers, large employers and SIRA to manage policy and claim movement

**About the Role**

This role will support transition activities such as facilitation and co-ordination of employer choice instigated movement, co-ordination of ad-hoc transitions on and off the scheme, and SIRA directions for the nominal insurer to accept risk as insurer of last resort. The role will also provide insights and plans to inform movement of policies and claims across the scheme as a result of performance degradation, disengagement (CSP or icare instigated), or future specialist claims initiatives.Ensuring relevant controls, audit activity, planning, and governance is in place to protect Those we Serve and the performance of the scheme through the activities above is a critical component of this role.

**Duties**

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as **Transition Manager **you will:

- Co-ordinate and execute complex activity across internal, external stakeholders ranging from brokers, large employers and SIRA to manage policy and claim movement across the scheme
- Ensure that detailed activity level schedules for all initiatives are in place for all transition activities and that relevant governance and decision-making processes are adhered to
- Continuously monitor market, industry, and regulatory changes to ensure all activity observes, and is complaint with best practice approaches and regulatory requirements.
- Anticipate and assesses changes in icare’s system environment, the regulatory environment, and in the NSW workers compensation market that impact both icare and the CSP’s
- Interpret and evaluate complex data from a range of sources and effectively present to a range of stakeholders
- Take line management responsibility for transition activity in the nominal insurer business as usual mode

**Skills & Experience**
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- People leadership to foster skill development
- SME level capability in data analytics/analysis, communication and management
- Tertiary level qualifications at degree level in business management or related discipline or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience acquired through extensive experience.
- Highly developed collaborative and partnering approach to stakeholder management, nuanced negotiation and influencing abilities
- Significant experience and deep understanding of the NSW Workers Compensation scheme
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change across a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of performance planning and reporting, ideally in complex, large organisations
- Previous experience in performance analysis used to inform planning and execution of medium to large projects of work
- Familiarity with cross-organisational data handling practices
- Previous workers compensation or injury management scheme experience desirable
