Manager, Substations

Our Energy & Resource Business is seeking an accomplished Leader to head our national Substations & Transmission business across Australia. This is one of Energy & Resources core business lines incorporating Energy Transition across both disciplines (Substations & Transmission) with clients in both the public and private sector.

Reporting to the Business Leader - Energy & Resources, this role has accountability for the profitability and operational success of the Substations & Transmission business unit. Working as part of the leadership team, you’ll use your extensive knowledge within the Power & Energy industry to identify opportunities, lead the development of proposals and build and manage a team with specialist capabilities for best practice delivery.

Joining a global consultancy, you and your team will collaborate with colleagues in Europe and Asia as well as North & South America. This will allow us to bolster our offering in Australia and bring the best in class to our clients.

As a natural networker with established contacts and credibility in the Australian market, you’ll use your commercial acumen to continue to grow our brand. Your previous experience in technical leadership will allow you to manage resources and capabilities to ensure outstanding client care.

**About You**

Coming from a technical and / or leadership role, your values are aligned with Arcadis’ - People First, Collaboration, Client Success, Integrity, and Sustainability. You will also bring with you:

- Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills
- Well established client networks across various Energy Markets. Transmission Authorities and large constructors an advantage)
- Solid client management and business development skills
- Experience in leading a business unit or a profit center within a consulting services environment an advantage.
- Well-developed commercial skills, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures, and experience of taking commercial responsibility for major projects and businesses.
- Experienced in leading teams from varied backgrounds and cultures
- Relevant degree, ideally with Chartered status or equivalent professional experienceAccreditations and registrations such as RPEV, RPEQ, NER or CPEng an advantage
