**Role impact & contribution**

The Associate Director Cash Optimisation provides leadership and direction in the effective and efficient management of the operating liquidity for the State, to implement and deliver change across the current process, governance structures, system and policy framework to deliver the reform program supporting the State’s liquidity outcomes.

Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.

**What you can bring to the role.**

In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.
- Lead a small team to define and maintain the State's liquidity management policy and cash forecasting function, collaborating with key government stakeholders.
- Drive reform through enhanced cash and liquidity performance analysis, stakeholder engagement, and robust policy and governance structures.
- Develop capabilities and reporting for the State’s liquidity position, identifying risks and opportunities, and engaging in projects to achieve cash and working capital outcomes.
- Improve liquidity management processes in a multi-bank environment, ensuring data utilization, compliance, and alignment with agency group requirements, Treasury goals, and State funding outcomes.
- Lead internal and external working and governance forums to identify and monitor significant risks and opportunities, collaboratively developing mitigation strategies and pathways.
- Support the Director of Cash and Operations and BFS colleagues, contributing to the broader goals of the Division, Group, and Treasury.
