**Position: Junior Trade and Marketing Officer**

**Reporting to: CEO**

**Salary: $70,000 + superannuation**

**Duties include**:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Junior Trade and Marketing Officer to join our team at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Australia (ICCIAUS). As the Junior Trade and Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing business trade requests, supervising ICCIAUS marketing strategies, and driving strategic market entry and business growth initiatives for Italian companies expanding their presence in Australia. Additionally, you will be responsible for market and consumer analysis, business relationship management, promoting Italian excellence, and ensuring seamless delivery of events and webinars.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide orientation on the Australian market to Italian companies and local firms seeking collaboration with Italian SMEs.
- Plan, develop, and execute marketing strategies for the Italian Chamber of Commerce, including trade services and special projects to support sales objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and design marketing strategies to support Italian companies in expanding their presence in Australia.
- Provide strategic assistance and develop market entry strategies for Italian companies intending to enter the Australian market.
- Analyse consumer patterns and preferences to optimise marketing strategies and predict future consumer trends.
- Identify and select importers, distributors, suppliers, and strategic partners for Italian companies.
- Build and maintain contact databases for importers, sector operators, business agents, and companies.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with Italian diplomatic bodies, commercial partners, media, members, and sponsors of the Chamber.
- Promote and enhance the excellence of the Italian territory by organising trade missions of Italian companies in Australia and spreading knowledge of Italian know-how.
- Organise and coordinate sectorial conferences, webinars, forums, and trade shows to engage Italian companies in investing and expanding their business in Australia.
- Manage projects and provide regular reporting on progress.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in similar work environment.
- In depth knowledge of Italian culture and business dynamics and consumer behavior.
- Ability to adapt skills in different market sectors ranging from food & beverage and fashion, to manufacturing and space.
- Autonomy in pursuing own projects with the goal of achieving the set objective in time.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proactiveness, creativity and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in team and as well as in autonomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with executives, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in the Italian language
- Proficiency in English language at a certified level.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 per year
