**About the Team**

Join the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team based in Brisbane today. ILS works as part of the Engineering Department to deliver the best products and services to our customers from logistics analysis through to instructional design and delivery.

**About the Role**

The Training Lead is responsible for providing direct assistance to the Training Manager in coordinating the development and delivery of training systems as part of RDAs’ Integrated Logistics Support function. This includes the providing support in the oversight of the Analysis, Design, and Development and Implementation phases of the ADDIE training model. The Training Lead supports the Training Manager in the development and integration of training equipment and simulators, and the integration of this training equipment in accordance with customer guidance. This role supports the establishment of sub-contractor support as required, and the delivery of training courses. Additional tasking may include coordinating training support to V&V, engineering and the production of technical publications, and other miscellaneous duties as required. This role will also require representing RDA, on training issues, with the Customer (Commonwealth of Australia).

The general and generic duties of the Training Lead include, but are not limited to:

- Support the management of the contact specific requirements of the establishment of training systems;
- Prepare contact status reports, including reporting progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Operational Performance Measures (OPMs);
- Provide guidance and assistance to the greater training team, as required;
- Developing functional relationships and maintaining close liaison with the Commonwealth and support contract training teams;
- Attend RDA convened conferences, meetings and activities associated with the training sub-program;
- Attend Commonwealth convened conferences, meetings and activities including Learning Review (LRB) and Learning Implementation Boards (LIB) and Training Development Workshops;
- Engage with SMEs and stakeholders to establish and communicate learning objectives and to understand technical data;
- Supervise the development of training system deliverables, in accordance with the relevant contract;
- Incorporate bespoke e-learning resources, Part-Task Trainers, Simulation and additional Training Equipment into training solutions in a way that is measured and meaningful;
- Direct involvement in the delivery of trial courses and their evaluation;
- Provide guidance to the Training Design team;
- Provide input into the Training System program body of work, including review of training documentation, contribution to planning, attendance at project related activities as part of the ILS team; and
- Fulfil other associated duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with the Training Manager from time to time.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

- Degree in Training Design or equivalent; or currently undertaking an equivalent course; or having appropriate experience;
- Diploma of Project Management, or equivalent experience;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110);
- In-depth knowledge of Adult Learning Theories;
- Specialist level working knowledge of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL);
- Relevant product knowledge or the ability to gain such knowledge;
- Ability to travel interstate and internationally when required; and
- Able to work in alternate locations, in Australia or overseas, for up to 4 weeks at a time.
