Hays is currently partnered with local Aboriginal Cooperative to recruit an Organisational Learning & Development Coordinator in a permanent capacity. This organisation supports the social, economic, and cultural development of Aboriginal people, particularly within the Geelong and surrounding areas.

This role has a strong focus on the development and delivery of online learning solutions using a new learning management platform including skills training, refreshers, induction, and onboarding.

Based in Corporate Services, the position will work collaboratively with internal stakeholder and external providers to build workforce capability through a mix of face-to-face training, workshops, online learning modules.

Responsibilities will include:

- Contribute to an environment where staff are supported and motivated to develop their skills and knowledge through the provision of opportunities for professional development.
- Develop strategies and resources for learning and development initiatives, processes, and programs.
- Develop relevant and culturally appropriate training materials for various training contexts (including face to face, virtual, elearning, and blended).
- Work collaboratively with program areas to develop training calendars.
- Coordinate and deliver and/or schedule training using face to face, virtual, e-learning, and blended approaches.
- Develop and implement internal communication plans to promote and advertise professional learning and development activities including a professional development annual calendar.
- Manage continuing professional development (CPD) requirements for relevant staff.
- Work with Executive and Senior Managers to project manage the planning, development, and delivery of training solutions.
- Negotiate, liaise with, and monitor the performance of external service providers in relation to agreed outcomes, and to ensure value for money.
- Collaborate with the Project Coordinator, Employment Partnership Program and Workforce Mentor and Leadership Lead to support the career pathways and employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
- Evaluate success of training implementation by assessing achievement of learning objectives and transfer of knowledge to continuously improve training solutions and identify future learning needs. In consultation with key stakeholders, review and update training materials and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of staff development consistent with best practice processes.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Relevant degree or experience in learning and development and/or education/training.
- Experience in designing and delivering of appropriate professional learning and development programs including the developing and customising of online learning modules to maximise participation and completion rates.
- Demonstrated understanding the information technology required to enhance a quality learning and development experience for staff, utilising a learning management system and eLearning authoring tools.
- Ability to plan, undertake and manage projects from inception to delivery.
- Well-developed written, oral communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate to achieve desired learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and enhancing positive and respectful relationships with stakeholders.
