**Your New Career**
The Australian National Surfing Museum, located in the heart of Torquay, Australia’s surfing capital, celebrates the story of surfing and Australia’s fantastic surfing heritage. The museum is the largest of its kind anywhere in the world and is the only accredited surfing museum in Australia. We have an active exhibition and tours program for local and international visitors, as well as a dedicated education program for school students. We also host special events for groups and corporate events.

We are currently looking to find a passionate Museum and Collections Officer who will not only work with the collection to document and preserve surf-related artefacts, photography and ephemera using the Mosaic Collection Management System, but who will also assist the team to develop concepts for new exhibitions and public and education programs that align with ANSM’s Masterplan.

In addition, you will be required to give scheduled museum tours, and from time-to-time provide assistance to the Torquay Visitor Information Centre front of house with whom the ANSM shares its premises with.

**Key Selection Criteria**
**Mandatory Qualifications and Experience**
- 1 year minimum experience using a Collection Management System (CRM) within a museum/art gallery setting.
- Knowledge of the surfing industry and Australian surfing culture
- An understanding of the principles and techniques of collection care
- Demonstrated administration skills with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Drivers licence

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience**
- Qualifications in Museum Studies, Fine Arts, Curation, or other areas relating to the museums specialties highly desirable
- Experience in the organisation of public exhibitions or events
- Experience and confidence speaking to the public and giving presentations

The successful applicant will also need to meet the below criteria:
