**Your New Career**
The Australian National Surfing Museum, located in Torquay, Australia’s surfing capital, celebrates the story of surfing. The museum is the largest of its kind anywhere in the world and is the only accredited surfing museum. We have an active tours program for visitors and we also develop programming for our local surfing community who are loyal patrons of the museum.

We are searching for a Program Officer - to deliver programs specifically to schools, group tours and to facilitate our public programs offerings. You will assist in the development of programs at the Surfing Museum as well as showcase the collections and exhibitions in the museum. You will strive to promote the museum and increase visitation of education groups and tours.

You will be working 9 hours per week which will be worked each Sunday and Wednesday between 9.00am and 1:30pm each day.

**Key Selection Criteria**
**Mandatory Qualifications and Experience**
- Knowledge of museum education practices
- Experience delivering programs and events
- Knowledge of the surfing industry including surfing history, culture and artefacts
- Demonstrated administration skills
- Drivers licence

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience**
- Experience developing public programs, including educational programs, in a museum context
- Experience writing or editing exhibition content for diverse audiences

The successful applicant will also need to meet the below criteria:

- A current WWCC.
