**The Opportunity**

It is a very exciting time at The Kids Research Institute Australia as we continue to evolve from what began in the 1980’s as a vision to create a world-class child health research hub. We have recently changed our name from the Telethon Kids Institute, but we continue to achieve our vision of happy, healthy kids

The Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Team conducts research focused on improving the recognition, treatment and prevention of infections in children, with a focus on vaccine-preventable respiratory infections. The team consists of a dynamic group of mixed methods researchers passionate about translating their work into better outcomes for the community through improved public health policy.

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about research and public health to support the activities of the Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Team as the Project Coordinator.

Reporting to the Team Co-Lead, this role will support the Team Co-Heads, Program Manager, Principal Investigators of various projects, and the broader research team by providing a high-level project management support, project administration support, stakeholder engagement and general team support.

In this role, your duties will include but not be limited to:

- Coordinate internal and external project meetings as required, with particular reference to the STAMP RSV Program.
- Coordinate the procurement of equipment, software, contracts and consultancy services where required.
- Assist with developing standard operations procedures, protocols, documents and presentations.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication to ensure successful outcomes of projects.

***About You**

***The ideal applicant will have a Tertiary qualification in a health or science related field or relevant work experience and be passionate about making a difference in childhood infectious diseases.

Along with this you must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Relevant experience in an administrative, project management or business capacity role.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships.
- Highly developed organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience within a research environment, and/or experience with managing linked data projects is considered highly desirable.

Conveniently based in our offices at Nedlands, this opportunity will be offered on a part time basis for 2 years.
