**About the Role**
**We are looking for someone special who is flexible, highly organised and enthusiastic to join our Accident & Emergency Administrative team as Night Duty Office Clerk. This role also has the potential for some day and evening shifts.**
As a team member, **you will be at the heart of our administrative operations** ensuring seamless coordination and support within our private Accident & Emergency department. Duties include (but not limited to):
- Adapting and being flexible to assist other areas of the business as needed, including attending the Front Reception and Emergency Reception, or addressing Patient Services inquiries.
- Efficiently checking-in patients and managing ambulance arrivals
- Proficiently handling cash and EFTPOS transactions and providing informed financial consent information
- Skillfully processing patient billing and liaising with third parties such as Medicare, DVA and Workcover
- Verifying fund coverage and generating self-funding quotes.
- Coordinating with a large and friendly clinical staff team to ensure a smooth patience experience
- Precise data entry using multiple computer systems to ensure patient information is updated
- Scanning patient documentation
- Providing various administrative support to relevant departments.

**About You**
Your outstanding ability to thrive in both a team and independent work setting, often requiring quick thinking to meet daily challenges in a dynamic environment, is a valuable asset for this role.
You will also bring:
- **Desired Qualification**: Ideally a Certificate in Medical Terminology
- **Tech Savvy**: Previous experience with hospital mainframe systems and strong computer literacy including proficient keyboard and MS Office.
- **Industry Experience**: Previous roles in Hospital, Medical Reception, or Health Fund environments are highly desired
- **Adaptability**: Adept at navigating multiple computer systems in a fast paced setting.
- **Keen Eye for Detail**: Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to work independently
- **Time Management**: Skilful at completing tasks within designated timeframes.
**Remuneration**:On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $34.23 per hour + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
