**The Role**
As a Program Manager - Participation and Workforce, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of work and overseeing successful delivery of funded projects. In doing so, the Program Manager will provide advice on project risks and mitigations, program improvements and impacts, as well as deliver stakeholder events and other core functions.
The role requires strong program management, highly developed critical thinking and problem solving, excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills, and the ability to innovate to solve complex challenges. The role is suited to individuals who are comfortable working in environments where new plans and processes are required to be established.
**Key accountabilities include**:
- Proactively lead the development, implementation and evaluation of Victorian Government sport participation and workforce funding programs, including the Sustainable Volunteer Workforce Program and the Strengthening Regional Community Sport program.
- Deliver the funding programs in accordance with governance requirements, and actively monitor the delivery of funded projects, including identifying and escalating risks, and coordinating reporting requirements.
- Design, plan and deliver stakeholder engagement, communications and events for the regional participation and workforce programs to build the capability of funded organisations and enhance program outcomes.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across DJSIR, Victorian and Commonwealth agencies, local government and other key stakeholders as required.
**The Team**
The position of Program Manager - Participation and Workforce will work across the Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) branch, which sits within the Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), Tourism and Events (T&E) and Outdoor Recreation (OR).
Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), within the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR), manages several investment programs that seek to increase participation in community sport and recreation by maximising the delivery of outcomes most aligned to Victorian Government objectives and those within Active Victoria.
