We’re hiring a Platform Engineering Manager to lead the forefront of software engineering transformation and inspire a team of passionate engineers dedicated to improving developer experiences and value delivery. Your leadership will shine as you spearhead software delivery transformation. You’ll elevate outcomes through close collaboration with engineers, refining outputs, and utilising data-driven insights to showcase remarkable progress and engage with solution architects, designers, product managers, and QA (Quality Assurance) experts across disciplines.

Key priorities will include:

- Refining Processes: Collaborating with architecture and software engineering teams to pinpoint and resolve friction points via the platform engineering team.
- Shaping the Team: Defining the initial and ongoing structure and skills for the Platform Engineering team, optimising cost and return on investment.
- Empower Efficiency: Leading the delivery of tools, libraries, standards, and patterns that streamline software engineering, enhancing value delivery.
- Drive Improvements: Partnering with I.T (Information Technology). teams and leaders to implement process enhancements, supporting adoption of the developer platform and software engineering best practices.
- Champion Platform Engineering: Promoting the benefits for software engineering teams and the business, backed by compelling metrics.
- Innovative Cloud Solutions: Design and advocate for modern solutions to expedite software development and deployment in the cloud.
- Thought Leadership: Elevating your profile and the company's status as a thought leader in cloud-native software engineering. Engaging in industry forums, conferences, and publications to remain at the forefront of technological progress.
- Continuous Learning: Cultivating a culture of ongoing learning and advancement within the architecture and strategy team. Cultivating knowledge sharing, monitor industry trends, and uncover chances for process enhancement and innovation.

**About you**

You will:

- Have a formal qualification(s) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Have a Cloud Computing Platform Certification (Azure preferred).
- Have proven experience in Platform Engineering roles, with a focus on cloud native software engineering.
