**About North Western Program Alliance**:
North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of five Alliance partners - John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.

Since 2017, NWPA has had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removal projects (13 LX) and several premium stations, with two projects currently in delivery and several in in development phase.

**About the Role**:
Whilst you will be initially based on the North Western Program Alliance, this is a long-term career opportunity with John Holland.

As Engineering Manager, you will lead and guide our Engineering function, including Digital Engineering, Temporary Works, Construction Phase Services, and Systems Engineering and Assurance. With a focus on delivering successful projects, you will ensure compliance with project requirements, support the construction program, and meet stakeholder expectations.

Your expertise will also be crucial in managing internal and external interfaces, ensuring construction issues are addressed and engineering requirements are met. Join us in driving positive outcomes across safety, quality, sustainability, environment, stakeholders, community, and time.

**Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Promote Engineering and Design Management culture within projects and manage and coach engineering staff to foster a high-performance working environment.
- Demonstrate people management by assisting with the selection and development of Engineering Management staff to ensure projects have the capability to achieve targets.
- Exhibit leadership in health, safety, environmental, sustainability, quality and risk management.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a collaborative and positive design review process for obtainment of required approvals.
- Foster the interaction between design and construction teams to maximise innovation, value engineering, sustainability and project success.
- Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes and leadership in the communication of requirements to facilitate timely decision making and appropriate assessment of change requests.
- Demonstrate commercial and contractual awareness in dealing with clients and external technical partners.

**To be successful in this role, you will have;**:

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership with Engineer’s Australia equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering and technical management roles.
- Multidiscipline experience specialising in design, engineering, and construction.
- Management of technical teams in the delivery of design and engineering solutions for bids and projects, including planning and budget management.
- Financial management skills in planning and managing budgets included demonstrated behaviour in reducing costs.
- Experienced in stakeholder management with focus on relationship building, influencing, communication and negotiation skills, particularly with design partners.
- Quantitative and qualitative design risk identification, assessment, controls, and management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage work and performance of teams.
