Details of position
- Provide high level engineering support, technical interpretation on Safran Arriel and Arrius series engines
- Strategically develop the PCH / Safran Approved Maintenance Centre Approval with the General Manager, Sales Manager - Engines, QASM and the DOM with a view to attaining approval up to and beyond level 3 compliance
- Undertake all necessary module maintenance, replacements, service bulletin, AD, TU and accessory maintenance as required to assure the operational integrity and compliance of the engines
- Facilitate continual improvement & updating for all engine series tooling and GSE
- Maintain a level of facility husbandry with regards to access, security, cleanliness & control to assure the integrity of the assigned tasking products
- Monitor, draft, file and update as required, all Safran online, PCH proprietary & CASA regulatory documentation to assure the integrity and recording of the product
- Interpreting plans, drawings and specifications, and providing advice on engine procedures, construction and maintenance requirements
- Manage the Engine Shop budget and Schedule, being sure to liaise with Customers & the DOM
- Undertake necessary business development plans and procedures to achieve government funding & private equity investment
- Determine, implement and monitor engine shop strategies, policies & plans in concert with Sales & Quality Manager
- Present training and mentorial oversight with regard to the Safran product line for the benefit of all technical employees
- Ensure Airworthiness integrity and continued reliability of the Safran product range for the elimination of defects, rework & warranty rectifications
- Retain significant Safran Engine familiarity & technical competence as proportionate to everyday interventions and interactions. This will include all online publication access, familiarity & regulatory control
- Travel interstate/international to gain further training and/or attend events - Covid 19 vaccine compliance is required

Skills required
- Aircraft LAME, A&P (or equivalent B1.3) maintenance Authority vested from a National Aviation Authority
- Significant Arriel & Arrius Series engine module maintenance experience to level 2 (minimum) & Level 3 (preferred). It will be expected that associated familiarity with all relevant TU, SB, & AD assignments to these engine serials will be known
- Airbus H125, H130, H120, EC 135 series aircraft maintenance approvals and/or maintenance experience exposure as they relate to the operation and installation of the engine series
- EASA / FAA or equivalent maintenance management exposure with regards to a Safran Service Centre tasking levels 1 and 2 (minimum)
- Safran Arrius and Arriel series Engine level 1-2 & 3 Certified Maintenance Approval and OEM Training Credit
- NDT Training (radiographic, Eddy Current, or ultrasonic) as applicable
- Second Language Skills
- Training or Certification in Risk Management, Auditing, Health & Safety, Planning, Scheduling
- ISO9001, Safety or Quality Management Training and/or Accreditation
- Qualification as a Cert IV Trainer or Train the Trainer qualification
- Tertiary Qualifications in an Engineering or Science Discipline

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
