**Community Cohesion Officer -Metro Sydney**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
More than just a housing organisation, Hume Housing want to build strong, cohesive communities with positive social outcomes. This role is a critical part of that strategy and is grounded by Social Justice Principles equity, access, participation and rights. This is a full-time role with a large customer and stakeholder contact component. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Project management - which includes being responsible for a small budget
- Working with customers to improve: Employment, training & learning
Digital inclusion
Physical & mental well-being
Community Connections
- Identifying grant opportunities for the organisation
- Building and developing strong relationships with community partnerships
**WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU**
You are an exceptional communicator who is at ease with a broad range of audiences and situations. With effective time management skills, you have the ability to forward plan, manage competing projects and priorities and work to deadlines.
You will be representing Hume and fostering partnerships across the LGA, so to be successful in this role, you will have/be:
- Experience in similar community development position
- Driven and operate with integrity, with a customer and solutions focus.
- A great social awareness and understanding of social and cultural differences is critical.
- Experienced in community development or social housing.
- Experience in events or project management
- Qualifications in Social Sciences or equivalent (desirable)
- NSW Driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle
