**Housing Independence Officer - Metro Sydney**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This role is responsible for the provision of high-quality tenancy and property management Together Home with the purpose of enabling customers to achieve sustainable tenancies and prosper in vibrant communities. You will be working closely with Customer Support Coordinators team to increase customers’ tenancy sustainment skills.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Build the customer’s tenancy management skills to enable sustained tenancies
- Complete regular property inspections and work with the team to ensure that customers receive appropriate support to maintain their tenancies
- Coordinate property inspections with relevant Real Estate Agents where appropriate
- Ensure customer complaints/repairs about property condition are addressed in timely and appropriate manner
- Offer best customer service to ensure positive customer experience and transition into independent living
- Proactively manage and prevent arrears and bad debt to support customers’ tenancy sustainment
- Represent Hume on external networks, expos and interagency with real estate partnership and private owners
- Ensuring the timely and accurate recording of all customer notes and other customer information
- Working with customers in a complex situation or experiencing housing crisis
**WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU**
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in working with customers with complex needs is essential
- Tenancy and property management experience, or an understanding of relevant principles, legislation and processes, is highly desirable
- A solutions and outcomes focused approach
- Excellent communication and time management skills to support effective decision making.
- NSW driver’s license and insured vehicle

**Salary**: $85,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
