**Your New Opportunity**
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for management and direction for the procurement of retail fixtures and management of client retainer. You are accountable for identifying and evaluating new suppliers, through conducting interviews, assessing capabilities, negotiating favourable agreements, managing contracts, and maintaining procurement and purchase records.
You will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple business steams, identifying better rates to increase project profitability. You will discover the best ways to reduce procurement expenses by identifying cost-effective deals, vendors, and suppliers, to enable the company can invest in its strategic growth and team.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies ensuring company criteria is being met
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking while tracking key functional metrics to reduce production cost and improve quality and effectiveness
- Perform risk management for new and existing vendors, supply contracts and agreements ensuring security of supply
- Develop strong relationships with reliable vendors/suppliers and craft negotiation strategies to close deals with optimal terms
- Manage Internal and External Vendor Management System, reviewing project budgets, supplier invoices and supporting documents
- Lead and finalize yearly bidding for Retail production and process bids for ad hoc projects and select suppliers as required
- Manage and develop yearly retainer schedule
**About You**
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
- Demonstrated working experience as Procurement Officer, Purchasing Officer, or Agent
- Experience using vendor management software
- Experience working in Retail Production/Shop fitting Industry
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management with a knack for negotiation and networking
- Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
