**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Mercy Hospital for Women has an opportunity for a highly motivated administration officer who has sound communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service and demonstrates the Mercy Values
- Permanent part time morning shifts
- This role is in the Patient Services Emergency Department at Heidelberg on the 1st floor
- Hours are every Friday and alternate Sunday 700 to 1500 including public holidays
- You will need the ability to relieve planned leave and leave taken at short notice
- Primary functions for this role are to accurately enter patient details into PAS (iPM), greet patients and visitors with an excellent customer service, pleasant answering of phones, clerk patients in the emergency system (EDIS), call emergency codes, act as overnight switchboard, admit and transfer patients and balance the bed return.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with all stakeholders
- Accurate data entry and efficient and effective time management skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to productively learn and adapt to other computer systems

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
