**Eligibility**

**Division Responsibilities**

The Regulatory Practice and Support Division provides operational regulatory policy advice

and specific support services to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and the Office

of Drug Control (ODC) which together comprise the Health Products Regulation Group

(HPRG). These services ensure efficient, best practice regulatory operations.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The Regulatory Engagement Branch provides a range of policy advice, communication and

support services for the TGA and the ODC. These include the delivery of regulatory guidance

and education materials, planning and performance reporting, parliamentary and media

responses, external events and webinar programs, library services, the scheduling of

substances for the Poisons Standard, TGA Cost Recovery operations and committee support.

The Branch is also responsible for managing TGA and ODC websites, social media,

stakeholder engagement with international regulators and the provision of a dedicated

enquiries help desk for the TGA.

**Section Responsibilities**

The Collaboration Services Section manages a range of services including library activities for

access to published information and expertise in information retrieval, services to support

the research assessment of therapeutic products as well as evidence-based health

care/policy and decision making in the Department and its portfolio agencies. The section

also oversees the development and publication of external plans and reports for the TGA

and ODC, supports TGA and ODC's interactions with the Minister's Office, the media,

contributions to Australian Government collaboration activities and committee support to

internal and external committees including TGA’s statutory and advisory committees.

**Key Responsibilities**

Working under general direction of the Assistant Director, as part of the Library team, you

will:

- Fulfil document delivery requests in a timely manner; source books and articles, select

supplier and service level in cost effective and appropriate way with respect to copyright

and other inter-lending provisions.
- Use your professional expertise to provide support and assistance to requestors and

liaise closely with them via virtual and face to face contact.
- Build and maintain relationships with other libraries and external suppliers, including

managing moderately complex cases and liaison with stakeholders to solve issues.
- Represent the team at relevant professional internal and external meetings.
- Maintain document delivery statistics and other associated records and produce reports

as required.
- Undertake original and copy cataloguing and classification of information resources,

both print and electronic, and contribute to the development and maintenance of local

cataloguing standards.
- Maintain borrower records; deal with routine library management system reports
- Follow procedures for management of information assets through their life cycle and

contribute to development of those procedures.
- Demonstrate flexibility in contributing to the library team goals and broader

organisational objectives by undertaking other tasks as required.
- Proactively undertake activities to develop knowledge and expertise in relation to

professional skills.

**Key Capabilities**
- Sound knowledge of, and experience in, providing library technical services
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including Copyright Act, and

cataloguing and classification standards.
- Demonstrable ability in cataloguing and/or document delivery
- Commitment to professional development and keeping up to date with current trends in

librarianship and information management
