Are you a stakeholder engagement expert with a passion for the VET sector and knowledge of the issues facing the Transport and Logistics industries?
Strategic Workforce Planning Committees are the central mechanism by which industry will drive the work of Industry Skills Australia as the Transport and Logistics Jobs and Skills Council (JSC) and the VET system more broadly.
Each Committee will be supported by an Industry Engagement Manager who will bring the requisite senior level leadership capabilities and strategic planning expertise to deliver the work of the Committee.
Central to the Industry Engagement Manager’s effectiveness is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with Senior Industry Executives and critical stakeholders.
The role is central to building highly effective relationships within and across teams so that information flows efficiently and teams have a common and clear understanding of how activities interrelate and are interdependent.
The role will also help drive exceptional, seamless client service in accordance with the organisation’s client service standards.
- **THE INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER WILL**:
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships with industry organisations, unions, employers, industry regulators, governments to collect intelligence, broker meaningful solutions and promote the work of the JSC
- Identify industry-specific workforce planning and development issues through ongoing consultation and working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop effective, high-quality solutions
- Manage and coordinate the work of a Strategic Workforce Planning Committee, including development and drafting of the Workforce Development Plan with a three-year horizon (updated annually) and an Annual Training Product Development Plan
- Lead and deliver on agreed Workforce projects
- Providing reports to the Strategic Workforce Planning Committee on projects, key outcomes and other information as required
- Actively participate in the Communities of Practice established to deliver on Strategic Workforce Planning Committee priorities as well as actively participate in Regional Fora initiatives to help address workforce development issues and promote opportunities for employers, learners and other regional bodies with an interest in workforce development
- In collaboration with VET regulatory bodies, identify systemic VET quality issues, including those where targeted monitoring and evaluation will inform development of meaningful advice to policy makers
- Build and maintain strong, highly effective relationships within and across the organisation to build capability and situational awareness of the relationship between ongoing activities, proactive sharing of information and exceptional client service.
- Use corporate systems in managing stakeholder records and planning stakeholder engagements
**IDEAL CANDIDATE**

- **Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently, prioritising and managing workflow**:
- **Proven expertise in strategic planning, systematic priority setting and methodology design**:
- **Understanding/knowledge or previous experience within the VET sector**:
- **Understanding/knowledge or previous experience within the Transport and Logistics industries**
**Strong knowledge of**:
- **Industry strategic directions, key drivers, and critical jobs and skills issues**:
- **Policy design and formation**:
- **Contemporary industry and policy contexts (national & jurisdictional)**:
- **Current & emerging VET policy environment**
