**The Role**
VET Quality and Policy Division supports industry engagement in the national vocational education and training (VET) system. Currently this involves working closely with Industry Reference Committees, Skills Service Organisations and Skills Organisation Pilots. The Division is currently transitioning to support the work of Industry Clusters, which are being established to drive collaboration across industry sectors, address strategic workforce challenges and ensure VET qualifications are developed and updated faster to meet the evolving needs of industry and learners. This comes at a time when skills and workforce development are more critical than ever.

To deliver this significant program of work, the Division is seeking motivated and high performing individuals who will be responsible for one of several key functions, including:

- relationship management
- policy
- communications and stakeholder engagement.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the Executive Level 1 may include:

- managing a small team undertaking relationship management and stakeholder engagement
- engaging with internal and external stakeholders, such as program management teams and corporate areas, or industry leaders, peak bodies and states and territories
- working collaboratively across the department and with external stakeholders to develop strategic policy and advice and undertake data analysis, reporting and evaluation
- overseeing and influencing performance at organisation, program and system levels
- reviewing and supporting the development and implementation of work / project plans, workforce strategies and strategic plans
- fostering team and divisional capacity in industry expertise, policy and / or communications and stakeholder engagement.

Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential.
