**The Role**
The Industry Policy Strategy and Engagement and Industry Policy Performance and Reporting branches support industry engagement in the national vocational education and training (VET) system through the Jobs and Skills Councils (JSC) program to provide industry with a strategic leadership role to identify, forecast and respond to current and emerging skills needs and workforce challenges, and delivering a range of related industry policy and initiatives.
To deliver this significant program of work, we are seeking motivated and high performing individuals who will work in JSC Relationship Management teams dedicated to specific industry sectors, the Stakeholder Networks and Engagement Team or other teams supporting the JSC Program and related industry policy and initiatives, with key functions including:
- Program relationship management.?
- Stakeholder engagement and communications.
- Industry forums, events and secretariat.?
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the Executive Level 1 may include:
- Managing a small team undertaking program relationship management and/or stakeholder engagement.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, such as program management teams and corporate areas, or industry stakeholders, peak bodies and states and territories.??
- Working collaboratively across the department, and with external stakeholders to develop strategic policy and advice, undertake data analysis, reporting and evaluation.
- Reviewing and supporting the development and implementation of work / project plans, workforce strategies and strategic plans.
- Leading a team in organising events, forums and communications related to the JSC Program and industry engagement.
- Preparing written correspondence and communication materials related to the JSC Program and industry engagement.
- Assist others in working collaboratively with states and territories on the development of training package products.
- Fostering team and divisional capacity in industry expertise, policy and / or communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Raising awareness for JSCs on performance arrangements and continuous improvement.
