We are seeking an Education Project Officer to contribute to Generation STEM, an initiative that supports, trains and retains students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) career pathways.
The STEM Community Partnerships Program (STEM CPP) was the first program launched under Generation STEM. The program has a goal of highlighting local STEM careers and opportunities and providing avenues for students to develop their STEM skills in an engaging and rewarding way.
As the Education Project Officer, your key focus will be on delivering the STEM CPP and supporting teachers. You will facilitate workshops and activities for teachers and students, as well as lead events that support industry professionals, teachers and organisations involved in the program. Leveraging your ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, you will connect with partner organisations to support their participation in the program.
**Your duties will include**:
- Delivering Generation STEM’s activities in close collaboration with internal and external program teams.
- Proactively engaging with relevant schools, industry and other organisations to enable them to join the program in alignment to the engagement strategy and with the support and guidance of leadership.
- Building strong and sustainable relationships with participating schools, businesses and Councils and providing them with the support they need to connect with each other and participate in the program effectively.
- Developing and implementing face to face and virtual training workshops including teacher professional development on inquiry based learning.
- In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, developing and coordinating activities for students, including showcase events, site visits, careers events and work experience.

**Salary**:AU$96k - AU$109k pa (pro-rata for part-time) plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
- A qualification in education, STEM, project management or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience with the facilitation of training for teachers, especially inquiry based learning, coupled with an understanding of how to align the training to the Australian Curriculum.
- Highly developed stakeholder management and interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain strong and productive relationships and networks with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project coordination skills and experience in managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines, as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and flexibility.
- High level problem solving and judgment skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify and manage risks and to develop evidenced-based appropriate solutions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven experience giving presentations and writing reports for a range of stakeholders and audiences.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to work safely with children, with an ability to obtain or provide evidence that they hold a valid paid/employee working with children check prior to confirmation of appointment.
- A valid Australian Class C driver’s licence.
