About the role

Make your move into the world of cyber security. An exciting newly created entry level opportunity to provide delivery of the Bank’s information security third-party assurance program. In addition, you will work closely with the technology functions and business units to provide information security consultancy and expert guidance in relation to their third-party risks assisting them to make informed decisions regarding risks and appropriate levels of control.

**In this role you will get to**:
Conduct assessments of third-party security controls and posture
Collate, analyse, and track evidence provided and gathered via direct and indirect external sources to understand information risk in the supply chain
Determine vendor risk level in accordance with operational risk frameworks and methodologies and professional judgement
Work with Legal and Procurement to ensure third party contracts and service agreements contain adequate clauses to protect information and information processing services
Support the continuous improvement of information security services and align maturity of services against industry practices and business requirements
Maintain an understanding of information security trends and threat intelligence, ensuring threats and controls are understood

About you

Whilst ideal, experience in a progressively responsible security, risk, governance or compliance role, it is not a mandatory requirement. We are looking for someone that has the curiosity to learn information security industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

**To be successful in the role you will have**:
An interest in the understanding of security related technology, trends and threats
A creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
An interest in information security industry standards, regulations and compliance requirements relevant to financial institutions
A desire to gain experience with information security risk assessments and third-party information security assurance
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at various levels
