- Coordination of Viva Energy’s emissions (Scope 1, 2 & 3) and energy reporting, including data compilation, verification and assurance - for NGERs compliance, internal performance monitoring, and voluntary disclosures.
- Deliver continuous improvement of Viva Energy’s emissions and energy reporting systems, tools and procedures.
- Maintain emissions projections and tracking against voluntary emissions performance targets and compliance “baselines”, and timely information provision to inform carbon offset / renewable certificate demand forecasting.
- Lead the registration, technical assessments and reporting related to offset origination projects through the Emissions Reduction Fund scheme at Viva Energy’s existing operations, with potential to expand technical support to investments in carbon removals origination projects.
- Support Viva Energy operations in the development of emissions reduction and energy improvement programs, leveraging recognised management systems where appropriate.
- Greenhouse gas impact assessment and due diligence relating to business development activities and acquisitions, including energy transition initiatives.
- Assessment and support for advocacy related to Government regulatory proposals and grant schemes related to emissions and energy efficiency.
- Technical support to carbon neutral fuel certification and reporting activities required under the Climate Active program.
- Undertake greenhouse assessments to support certification and marketing of lower carbon intensity fuels and products.
- Support Viva Energy Carbon Solutions offer development relating to customer carbon footprint assessments and emissions reduction pathway development.
- Scan for updates to government policies and grant programs related to emissions reduction and provide support for developing Viva Energy’s response to government consultation processes.

**About you**

You will be passionate about decarbonisation and play an important role in the strategic direction of our and our customer businesses, you wil be curious, detail-oriented, thorough and careful with;
- Capability in data management and analytical/modelling skills.
- Capability interpersonal and engagement skills.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills, including ability to translate complex technical information into easy to understand stakeholder communications.
- Be highly collaborative approach to working with colleagues, customers, and external parties to deliver desired results.
- Have a high level of competency using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other relevant software tools to support emissions modelling, reporting and data analysis.

**Qualifications**
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Carbon Management, or other relevant (similar) discipline coupled with experience (5 years+) in emissions and energy-related roles in industry, government or consulting.
