Reporting to the CEO and serving as an integral member of the Leadership Team, the CFO is the advisor to the CEO and the Board on key financial information, operational analytics and strategic insight and advice. The CFO will work with the CEO, and Board (including Private Equity shareholders) and leaders of the business units in developing, monitoring and evaluating AIB’s overall corporate strategy. Emphasis on bottom line performance, working capital and shareholder value will be key in strategy formulation and execution.
Supported by a team of finance and business specialists, key areas of responsibility for the CFO include:
- leadership and management guidance reflecting AIB’s corporate strategic goals and values in the growth of a self-sustaining company;
- defining financial strategy, managing financial capital and communicating capital requirements and implications to the CEO and Board;
- collaborating with the Executive Team to achieve and surpass sales, profitability and business objectives and to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of AIB’s growth objectives;
- maintaining and enhancing important relationships with key internal and external stakeholders;
- working closely with a highly engaged Shareholder group, including a leading Private Equity firm, to drive shareholder value;
- ensuring appropriate reporting, compliance, operational controls and practices are in place to meet legislative requirements and to foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organisation.
Applications are encouraged from CA/CPA qualified finance and business professionals with demonstrated capability to lead through ongoing reform and growth and experience in effectively leading enterprise-wide change programs. Essential qualities sought for success in this position include highly developed commercial and financial acumen, superior interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, contemporary leadership and values based management behaviours, adaptive working style, resilience to navigate a fast-paced environments and personal and professional maturity.
