Tony’s Flowers is South Australia’s leading wholesale supplier of locally grown and imported flowers. Since its inception in 1989, their vision has been to grow, source and deliver the very best fresh flowers that Australia has to offer, and stand as a vertically integrated business working from farm gate to the end customer. Located in Mile End and staffing over 100 employees, Tony’s Flowers has pioneered the art of importing flora to ensure a year-round supply of flowers. Due to expanded business growth, a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is now sought to join the organisation in this newly created role.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the financial leadership and strategy of the organisation, implementing financial improvements and providing critical advice to the board and senior management. Leading a small team and championing a positive staff culture, you will mentor and develop team members, ensuring alignment with the company values. With a strong focus on reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting, you will oversee investment management, banking arrangements and financial controls to ensure a customer centric delivery of services. You will also establish and maintain relationships across a range of diverse stakeholders, including financers, external accountants, suppliers and shareholders.

As a CPA/CA qualified finance executive, you will have demonstrated analytical skills with an understanding of wholesale businesses, including international transactional business and taxation law. Commercially focused, you will be knowledgeable in the latest technology tools for business administration, possess experience in leading and implementing improvements, and managing IT driven processes for data analysis. Being an experienced hands-on leader, you will possess excellent communication and people management skills, coupled with effective performance management and KPI reporting.
