Accounts Services Officer

Sydney- Wealth Management- PermanentOur client is a global brokerage firm with a team of around 50 people and is focused on providing broking execution and clearing services for its clients. This Account Services Officer role is a permanent opportunity focused on new and existing client accounts including initiating, actioning, processing and maintaining them. It also has a compliance focus to it with KYC and AML checking of all clients during the on-boarding process.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collecting all relevant information and managing the account opening process for new client accounts
- Checking external data sources and background checks
- Performing verification checks to ensure all documents submitted with an account meet the requirements
- Reviewing and approving amendments to static data for existing clients
- Maintenance of client banking details
- Sending CHESS messages for TFN, Income Direction and Registration detail amendments
- Perform four eye checks of client accounts to ensure critical client data is processed correctly
- Reviewing and maintaining client US tax documentation and FATCA new account obligation
**Experience**:
- An understanding of the Clearing, Settlements and Custody Cycle
- Data entry experience
- Knowledge of CHESS and ASX business rules
- Exposure to GBST Shares, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Exposure to Broadridge Summit is preferable but not essential
- FACTA/ US tax documentation experience is preferable but not essential
- Exposure to KYC would be highly regarded
