**_Core requirements of the role:_**
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to enhance work health and safety culture through the implementation of an effective Work Health and Safety Management System.
- Develops and implements the WHS strategy.
- Lead and mentor the WHS team to deliver functional WHS support operations
- Proactively engage and build strategic partnerships with the business to support and implement the WHS strategy and safety management plan, resulting in continuous improvement in key WHS performance indicators.
- Coach leaders, with a view towards strengthening their skills in all aspects of workplace safety and health matters and results in a workforce that actively displays best practice safety-based behaviours.
- Continuous improvement in safety lead and lag indicators.

**_ Experience required:_**
- Experienced WHS/Safety Lead with a backround in bulding and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- ExperiencDemonstrated proficiency in providing expert advice to senior leaders on all WHS and injury management issuese analysing data for trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Western Australian Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, Work Health and Safety Act 2020, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
