Are you a qualified HR professional, with significant contemporary experience and currently looking for your next opportunity to work within a fast-paced, dynamic global mining services company?

Due to parental leave coverage, we have an opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our supportive and collaborative Corporate HR team, on a full-time, 12-month maximum-term contract.

Reporting to the Human Resources and Organisational Development Manager, you will partner with our leaders to provide expert coaching and advice. This role is a key point of contact for people expertise to support workforce development and coordinate cyclical processes. You will play a key role in helping leaders improve employee engagement, performance, productivity, and retention to create a safe and respectful workplace. You will also support employees by providing advice and support on HR matters.

We are a small team; however, this role will see you work with other members of our wider HR teams, across the Perenti Group. Additionally, this role offers opportunity to work on meaningful projects, and exposure to other areas within the HR team, including organisational development and talent acquisition.

**Key Accountabilities will include, however are not limited to**:

- Coordination of employee lifecycle events including but not limited to performance planning and review, employee relations, learning and development and remuneration reviews
- Coach leaders on people leadership, organisational matters, and interpretation of policies
- Implementation of projects to support Inclusion Plans and creating a culture of safe and respectful workplaces
- Provide guidance and interpretation of IR and ER to leaders and mitigate risks to the business
- Review and update policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice.

**Key skills and experience required for you to thrive in this role, will include**:

- 5 years of post-graduate, Generalist HR experience
- Demonstrated prior experience as a HRBP, providing strategic HR advice
- In-depth knowledge and recent exposure to Australian employment law, Fair Work and Modern Awards
- Industry exposure in professional services, contracting, construction, resources, or similar
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills and able to engage with a broad range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to work well as part of a team.
